Madonna - Confessions II OUT NOW (1 Viewer)

See I can fully understand One Step Away being top (other than perhaps Danceteria), and while I wouldn't rank School quite that high, I do see the appeal.

It's just Bring Your Love doing so poorly that does not compute.

If you ask people to vote for one overall favourite and nothing else, they'll either go for:

a) an obvious front runner (like Dancetaria)
b) something that stands out/something that makes them feel like they're oh so different (like Fragile)

A perfectly passable Bring Your Love, which might hover around being many people's 5th or 6th favourite therefore misses out.

So I can sort of sort of see why that pole skews the way it did (although I nothing of the page that ran it and any biases it may have caused)

I've grown to love Fragile except the 'You had a nervous breakdown' which I can't get past being a really clumsy and on the nose lyric.
I don't mind the song, but I feel kind of underwhelmed by it, it reminds me of Falling Free, which is another one that never really clicked with me.

I hate that line, too. It just doesn't fit. Kind of wish she had used "menty b" for some extra oomph.

I quite like seeing so much disagreement over favourite tracks. In my experience that usually suggests a strong album with breadth of quality, rather than one with a clutch of good ones and then packed with filler.

today it's my favourite thing on the album actually. you just CAN'T do any better than "you've been hurrrRRRRRt before". creamy smooth pop icon goddess!!! :disco:

I don't like how many syllables there are in the chorus of Love Sensation. This album is not all that great actually.

Falling Free is one of the few good songs on MDNA IMHO... and I say that after going back to the album last week, but then again I love Fragile too. Wouldn't make my top 5 from this album though.

she's #118

Not too much on Love Without Words! That's an easy standout track.

Call it trance. Call it house.

Wonder how close it is above her as well- there's a couple of new entries which presumably will be frontloaded and that My Chemical Romance shit is going to die considering their gigs were all last week, right?

Yeah she certainly has a solid chance to remain top ten with all that considered. Her streaming numbers really have been rather good given what they could have been, so hopefully a softer fall down than perhaps it could have been would be great.

The mixes are so minimal anyway. I would be curious if some songs get more emphatic starts than "ask yourself this.." though.

#7 is brilliant for week two. 3,500 already. Even if it slips to the teens that’s great for a heritage act.
Madame X dropped 2-14 in its second week. Hopefully this far more positive response will lead to another week in the top 10, fingers crossed. Streaming numbers are vital from this point on, however a few more physical variants coming should help stabilizing this considerably. Didn't the brat campaign also had new vinyl ready to go after the initial release? Though I might be making this up.
