Admin Requests

Hi - over the past few weeks I've been thinking about sites I rely on and have given too much information on and the possibility of removing myself from things as much as possible.

As much as I get on with most people here and enjoy it, I don't think it is good for me to stay around. I've gone through all my posts in the Things You Can't Share... thread (and some others) and cleared them already and it did hit me how much information I've shared about myself personally on here since I was 18 (or possibly 17?). It has also been a little emotional reading some stuff that I'd forgotten or lost focus on.

My hope is to clear as much as possible, then ask for account deletion. It'a not on account of any recent negative interactions, but this discussion did spur me on. If it was possible to have my post history removed for me it would be very handy, but I don't think that's likely.

There are also some aspects of the time I've spent here and the way people treated me when I was really quite young in the early days that make me feel a bit sad or icky - see the below - and which are long past but don't make me feel good, so it will be nice to remove aspects of that too.

I am fully aware that I am deleting things and so posting a long winded response in here is a bit counterproductive but hey ho.
Well I'll be sorry to see you go.

Thankfully I've been quite anonymous in my 22 years on Moopy and I prefer it that way.

I'm sad to see the roots of our friendly Tree dragged up. you know best what's right for you however extreme this self erasure looks from the outside. a desire to be less online is something I can relate to. wishing you well!

WTF? I had no idea he had issues with the fact he used to post under the name of an STI. 🤷‍♀️ It was a JOKE.

It was a name that I had changed for me by the rest of the site when they voted to do it and I didn't like it and I'm not sure why I stuck around after that.

That’s a bit more clear. I thought you had an issue with the fact that I mentioned you should change to another STI. I had NO IDEA and I’m sorry it triggered you back then.

Tree there are always ways you can participate without risking your safety. But either way, you're always welcome back.

Hopefully you feel you can stay a little bit, Tree / @Generic Account. If only just to talk to Aunt Shirley about books

Separately: my main question from this thread is where this calling it "day drinking" came from. It's just DRINKING my loves

Looking back on the chat, I've absolutely rewritten the conversation in my mind. It was after the event, I asked for screenshots, and it was done out of kindness. Not saying, there's no benefit to anyone.

@Agneeta this isn’t against you in the slightest but I have a BIG issue with this. We should not be sharing details of anything in the Community Forum with anyone who doesn’t have access to it. There is a lot of personal and private information in that forum and the whole point of it is to have a safe space for discussion with the understanding that it doesn’t go anywhere else.

This situation might have been a fairly inocuos one but the principle remains.

How do you mute a whole forum? I've definitely seen the option before but can't find it.

Click on the forum and then on the top right should be the option to "ignore forum".
