16. The Test ft. Lola Leon

an overwhelming 66% of you voted to boot out The Test in round 1. I wonder if this is not because it's a bad song but because stylistically it's a complete outlier on this album (much like the track that follows). personally I really love it - the blend of their voices is magnificent, lyrically it's a thinker and I feel the sonic space it occupies is gorgeous. I would like more in this vein from the 8 other tracks that M has said she wants out there - but perhaps I'm alone in that...

I'm really quite shocked by this - I had the feeling this was hovering around top 10. for me it's higher than that. but 31% of you said sayonara. I was running this morning with this song in my ears thinking that actually it's kind of like something that Kylie might put out on a Garibay EP if she was still in the mood to try experimental things - something about the lovely, tinkling piano that comes in at the end amid all the EDM chaos. this song is deranged in the best way and I DO fuck with it.

LES Girl is very very cute but she's surrounded by gorgeous

the last third of the album with the exception of L.E.S Girl feels like quite a drop off.

Everything is too much for some girls. It will be a huge moment on tour and it's a lava flow of brilliance. It never stops getting better. The mastery of noise and beauty is the album's ultimate moment if you ask me. You didn't? Fine! When her live prowess illuminates this song into the huge surge of sound it is people will flock to it, push their friends into security guards to get nearer to and later proudly boast to their friends they abandoned that this is the song that got them banned from the Hydro next time it comes on in Greggs.

L.E.S Girl is the album's lipstick mirror message. I actually wonder if she throws in an I'm sorry to Christopher as well. This is limitless Madonna music and I can't believe we got a song as gorgeous, gooey and guitar-stoned chanteusey.
