it's a triple eviction and we're saying goodbye to tracks 13, 14 and 16 - the entire last quarter of the album has now flamed out.

the smoky horns that haunt this deluxe edition track make it a pleasure on the ears, and the sometimes-threatening lyrics ("you'll never take my mother's place") aimed at her stepmother are amusing given that she's dead. childhood grudges live long... unlike this song.
13. My Sins Are My Saviour ft. Stromae
I feel this is exactly the right place for this song to drop. it's a great closer, better than many of her closing tracks I would say. @Dark Carnival thinks Stromae adds fuck all but I like that he pops in to speak some sexy French (M's own French is about what you'd expect from the Spanish Lesson chanteuse). however, almost all of what precedes it is better.

I've seen so much love for this song - it really seems to have touched people. there's something very appealing/unusual for M about how breezy and nostalgic it is - like she's really channelling her younger self from the '80s rather than looking back. the least processed vocal on the album, and she sounds gorgeous in the lowest part of her range. it's definitely much more whimsical and slight than anything left now.
