I haven’t really thought about this song in ages, but Robyn’s live cover has reminded me how lovely it is.



I like how her version only has to subtly tweak it to make it sound like a classic Robyn song.

Yes, it’s a great song and also one that I rarely play. The original is not a million miles removed from Robyn’s territory - I think I’d find it hard to get used to the higher vocal but she makes a decent stab there.

I was off to the Official Charts site after reading this and whilst there were still top 10 singles after this I’m inclined to agree with you.

That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the odd single after it, but the imperial phase was definitely over. You probably could argue that Abba-esque was the end of it at this was a final hurrah.

Yeah, there’s plenty of good stuff after, I was thinking more that Always was maybe the last one that would be remembered well by casuals or people who didn’t follow them.

I like them both, but they aren't A tier for me. I remember being quite disappointed by the parent album, Always aside. And that was their first album to do so. Not counting Wonderland as I only got into that after The Circus.

They did really go from bullseye after bullseye to pretty meh, but I think I would say that they did have one later absolute classic and that is Don't Say You Love Me - which could have been imperial period easily.
