Friday orders a hot honey caprese salad at the cinema

There is a temporary bus stop out the front of my gaff for the tram replacement service. Just heard some shouting which isn't uncommon. Went out on the balcony for a nosy, expecting some you neerdowell to be kicking off. It was a toe-to-toe between a grey haired chap in his 60s and a portly bus driver who wasn't far off his opponent's age.

I'm sure plenty of my neighbours would be horrified, but I genuinely love having a front row seat to the urban chaos. I know we'll leave her in a year or two, but I fucking love it.

Everybody moves out to the sticks eventually because the novelty gives way to the annoyance.

Funnily enough we almost moved to the countryside before moving here, we’d started doing the paperwork for a house backing onto farmers fields and then I realised I like the urban hustle and bustle more.

I'm happy being 20 mins in a taxi or 10 mins on a train from it, it's easy and cheap to get home, it takes a tiny bit more effort for sure, but I get lots of greenery and canals and I can walk out the house and within about a quarter of an hour be somewhere rural enough it feels like I'm on holiday. It's also still possible to get absolute bargains 5-10 miles outside central Manchesterford if you avoid certain areas and go instead for the stuff that currently looks a bit less des res - all of which is outpacing the market.

I’m seeing the Odyssey at 3pm. I’ll let you know how many orders of the hot honey caprese salad I witness.

I usually just take in a Tesco Meal Deal #cheap
