call it hüjssss. call it technoöoeee. :disco: we're really getting down to the good shit now. I would say Love Without Words has more or less settled as my #7 on this record. I looooove the dark squiggly synth line, the way she sounds like a sexy alien just arrived on earth doing the spoken word parts, the slightly robotic edge to the verse, the way her voice twitches and morphs and goes a bit off-key on "this is a CLUUUUUÜHB, this is a TEMPLE OF SWEAT... AND SURRENDUHHHRRRR". not the weirdest or most melodic song on the record but sometimes a really sultry club banger is all you need.
 
Bring Your Love is fabulous on record, but I guess it has to go here now just because it doesn't stand quite so mightily as the others on its own terms.

fully agreed. I adore Bring Your Love when playing the album in full, but don't always need to cherry pick it.

I Feel So Free is a disco airvent of cunt, the opening credits that give you what you think the album is going to give, but the rest are all newer nuances of Madge that go off the mere Confessions II expectation.

Bring Your Love is a pumped and plump dollop of Cathy Dennis and the plethora of Madonna next doors that followed in the early 90s, it's still crazy to me that she's brought out a song in this style herself after all these years - it's novelty rendered legit with the lavish production and video that couldn't showcase her any better if it tried. If it's lacking anything it could be a heightened sense of fun between them - instead I always like to imagine her rolling her eyes when saying "Sabrina" also in the style of Romy saying to Michelle "what does this remind you of?" But that could just be me.

School is an airtight clusterfuck. Vanilla queens don't deserve it and aren't getting to join in no matter how many times they pop their head in.
