Yes to The Poddington Peas! I always wanted to live there. Weyes Blood has been recommended to me before. Her voice has a definite tone of Karen Carpenter after a brief skim through it.

Thank you for hosting tonight @disneyteletubby - an interesting selection of songs. I think overall a really nice vibe, and everything more or less fits the theme. Will definitely give everything a few listens before working out my ranking.

Awful cheeky of someone to send one of my legit favourite songs of all time. Now I have the quandary of either upholding my rule of marking down overly famous stuff, or giving it the obvious 12 it absolutely deserves.

Absolute, absolute BANGER.
 
2. Bumblebee (a word that's endlessly entertaining in a Derry accent)

I've never heard of these but they seem to be some sort of lesbian art collective and Google tells me they're from Swindon, so I'm keeping an open mind because they've clearly had a rough time of it.

This is quite stirring in its own way. A bit Christmassy, too.

Fuck me, this dancer :D. She's not miming along but somehow I can still read her lips.

The song sounds a bit like Change by Lisa Stansfield a bit, which endears it a bit. A bit.
 
8. The Ukrainian sorts

I struggle to imagine how this is bringing anyone comfort other than the warm glow of impending ASFM victory, but I care not, for it's excellent. If only Ukraine still put this much effort into their Eurovision songs instead of sending dismal SHIT year on year and coasting on the steady stream of votes from people who think the contest is called Europe's Next Top Active Warzone.
