Do you prefer Hung Up or Danceteria?

Debi Mazar goes by, so slowly...

I barely ever listen to Hung Up anymore. I mean it’s absolutely incredible and I loved it, but I also tired of it a bit over the years. Danceteria has a lot more going on it for me. More quirks.

I guess it's possible those quirks may be a little more tiring after over two decades than they are after a little over three weeks.

Hung Up, because of the explosive chorus. I would think a more fair comparison to Danceteria is God Control or something

I was genuinely going to vote Dancetaria...until I pressed play on the Hung Up video above and came to my senses.

when does the poll close? I'm sharpening the guillotine as we speak

I always remember feeling disappointed after learning that Hung Up would sample Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie that it was the wrong bit.

I just think Danceteria has a lot more going on. A more propulsive verse (incredibly!), lots more fun little details like the double hand clap after SHA-FRA-ZI, having something I wanna TALK ABOUT, or the existence of Debi Mazar, and all in all it has more JOYOUS THRILL. In this contest, it's the queen that's supposed to get mown down in the face of a behemoth pulling it out with a virtuoso performance or a full bag of tricks. I couldn't give LESS OF A SHIT if he's ghosting you with basic lyrics Marge, I want to go to the club with a load of dead faggots!

I think Dancetaria will be less memorable in the long run, much as I love it.

I just think this album both generally and specifically seems a lot more personal and a lot more honest and really relatable because honestly who hasn’t had to hide cocaine or get in a lift to go somewhere? Nobody, thats who. So for that I just think its got a depth to it.

At this stage I prefer Hung Up, but Danceteria is easily the best thing she's done since Hung Up.

Why are we pitting two songs by a female artist against one another? Feels... reductive.

We only don't do it with male artists because we don't care about male artists
