VRAIMENT FANTASTISK and why oh why oh why was this not NUMBER ONE EVERYWHERE? I've only just realised that Max Martin and a horde of Swedes were involved, which really should come as no surprise with this level of KVALITET :disco:

GOD I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH :disco:

i love it. the chorus is shimmering. one point off for that video and the lyrics which really could've used a bit more work.

fortune cookie says i'm right, kung fu like?

hey Hey HEY :disco:

That chorus is like a disco ball falling down and knocking you out cold. I love the album so much, and she was phenomenal live on the tour.

"Into the Nightlife" is a lil clunky in the verses, but what a chorus. Off the parent album, "Echo", "Lay Me Down", "Rain on Me", "Can't Breathe", ALL GOLDEN; the rest, NOT SO MUCH

Its appeal has waned slightly over the years but it's still SENSATIONAL.

I just realized that she hasn't released a vaguely pop album since this in 2008. what the FUCK, Cyndi

And isn't she currently working on a COUNTRY one?

This is an easy ten, one of her best tracks ever

Good God, that's terrible. I was told she was working on a nu wave pop album with one of Madge's old producers.

She's posted photos on Twitter of her in the studio with Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris, but I pray you're right

Cyndi herself regrets not investing more time in a better video for this track. She was very disappointed that the song didn't take off more than it did. One of her strongest uptempos.

FIT OR FAT IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU GOT :disco:

(Yes I know it's "pitter patter" but that's what it SHOULD have been)

STILL SENSATIONAL

Why did I not notice until now how much of a COMEDY CLASSIC the video is? What a BIZARRE FACE SHE HAS

It's the uncomfortable finger-wave dancing that gets me. Was nobody choreographing her? :D

It doesn't help that her overall look is atrocious. That hair and makeup :zombie:

Love this song so much and yes the silver fox cut price Anderson Cooper in the video is everything

GOD this song is a complete TRIUMPH

THAT CHORUS! It POPS the fuck OFF with such giddy euphoria! there's hardly enough :disco: in the WORLD

Excellent production as well. A dirty glitterbomb of a song. 11/10

The album deserved a better push. Her absolute best if you ask me - even She's So Unusual, with all its career and industry-shaping peaks, doesn't have the same consistency. If only it had spurred her on to do more rather than sulking the minute it didn't take off and lord knows how awful she was with the Kleeeup confusion (I think she was affronted at the idea of him having the song on his album too rather than seeing a crossover promotion and chance of his label even releasing it as a single where hers stopped at one (terrible) video). But yeah, Nightlife has a chorus that pops off as big as anything she ever did.

I had it in mind that she hated it!
I believe she doesn’t really care for Lay Me Down (I think the last time she performed it she literally brought out a paper with the lyrics on it). But she likes ITNL as far as I know!

Semi-agog that the definitive version hasn't been mentioned (and that Colton Ford RIP was merely described as a silver fox cut price Anderson Cooper).
