Total eclipse of the WEDNESDAY (2 Viewers)

I've just been thinking about the last major eclipse in 1999. I was supposed to go to a new age traveller free party for it but my parents forbade it. I've always resented them a little bit but looking back on me and my mindset then, I'd probably have run away to live in a clapped out old bus.

How nice of the sun to put on a performance for your birthday.
 
Being the nice old bint that I am I rooted through my junk drawers last night and found two more eclipse glasses so I've brought them into work today and made the other four staff decide between themselves who gets to take a pair home. I wanted to have some kind of Hunger Games trials but the two older ladies said to give them to the two apprentices.
 
I’d forgotten about the last one but on being told of this one I now recall back in 99 standing outside the ‘office’ -it was a disused pub, in Highbury, to witness it.

Ron jr was supposed to be having a load of mates stay over tomorrow night, said no fucking chance in this heat. Kid was crushed.
 
Just shared a bottle of wine in the sun. Off for a takeaway with the folks and bro inabit. Turning into a brilliant stay at home birthday!
 
The sun has already dipped behind the houses up the road, and I can’t be arsed to go anyway in THIS HEAT. I’ll just have to watch the sky get dark :)
 
Loads of people out here waiting for the full effect. I've not experienced such a shared public experience since Cilla died.
 
Is it just around these parts that about 75% of men under 30 look like second tier Benson Boone tribute acts?
 
Who was doing the PR for this eclipse? I feel like I only heard about it two days ago. I don’t have glasses so not going outside to witness it in case I have to converse with the neighbours, and I’m not risking blindness by viewing it BAREBACK, so I’ll just wait for it to get a bit DARK in my flat.
