Total eclipse of the WEDNESDAY (1 Viewer)

I was working on the city centre during the 1999 one, and we were allowed up on the office roof. Oh the excitement.

I'm watching from my spare room window, but only have sunglasses.
Is the sun brighter for a solar eclipse or is it just that the sky is darker 🤔

Brave Rachey frazzles her retinas :(

This would have been QUITE GOOD had it been noon. I’d have had a great view from the office as well.

Who was doing the PR for this eclipse? I feel like I only heard about it two days ago. I don’t have glasses so not going outside to witness it in case I have to converse with the neighbours, and I’m not risking blindness by viewing it BAREBACK, so I’ll just wait for it to get a bit DARK in my flat.
we've only had fucking 27 years to prepare!

please don't watch it through your sunglasses :D
I'm not going to don't worry, I couldn't even if I wanted to, I took a .5 second glance at it and everything went fuzzy.

The temperature is noticeably cooling, but the lighting NOT SO

Are we doing the eclipse wrong?

Well this is apparently peak darkness

The town SEAGULLS all seem rather excited, but I don't know if that's because of animal senses or because somebody bought fish and chips

It feels like it's still getting darker here, but it could just be my vision fading

That was exactly as shit as expected. Honestly, got a lil bit darker at a time of day when it usually gets darker anyway - big whoop!

Still, it was nice spending an hour sitting on a hill watching a sunset with a bunch of Benson Boone lookalikes and woke lefties of varying hair colours.

the analyst on BBC news just took about 45 seconds to tell us that if you look at the eclipse from a certain angle it looks like an upside down smile.

"watch the smile get thinner and thinner." fuck off with your basic bitch metaphor! I pay the license fee!!
