Oh well. It was a great race, but even though Keely kept coming back at her I never felt convinced she was going past.

They'll go another time, though there is the prospect of a more experienced and confident Femke to deal with too.

Tamberi is just something else!
 
Kat tonight was all very bittersweet :(

The women in particular did a storming relay. Big Julian snatching Backley's CR seemingly out of nowhere too.

The 1500 didn't go as hoped, but I am still very invested in the sudden rise of the wonderfully named Arlo Ludewick.
 
We had a pair of gays banging on about Arlo representing “vegan power” next to us.
 
Anyway, 3/4 for Amy. I am so unbelievably excited about what tomorrow might bring. 4 golds has never been done before and would be genuinely iconic.

In other news, I keep getting mistaken for her Dad, which is a bit awkward, though her actual Dad is taking it rather well. I’m just furious anyone thinks I’m old (and straight) enough! :D
 
Kat we’re told has had a dreadful year, not able to put more than two weeks’ training in a row together but is not doing to retire and still plans to do LA.

Just weeks ago she wasn't good enough to be on the invite list to her home DL and she just did that series tonight :disco:
 
Also, Operation Four is complete. Absolutely astonishing week for Amy. I am so happy for her and her family.

Excited for Budapest and Ultimates now.

ANYWAY, just catching up, how much of a queen is Amy, I also loved Dina in the interviews QUEENSS :disco:
 
Songs made for championships are generally TERRIFYINGLY shite. This is no exception.

Yeah, Werro went too hard on the first lap and overcooked it for this stage of the season, I think she maybe had 1.53 in mind and the end time shows that she didn’t judge this one the best. but Femke improving with each race too.
 
I really wanted to go to Zurich this year but decided not to. I’m gutted I didn’t- it looked amazing!
 
Quite amused at them having Sarah poised ready to cover for any of these DLs that go completely TITS UP

It was certainly a very entertaining couple of hours.
