Ellie Goulding Sues Former Managers Over Live Nation Deal

British singer Ellie Goulding has taken legal action against her former managers, Ben Mawson and Ed Millet of TaP Management, claiming that the two failed to disclose to her that TaP’s parent company, HNOE, was partially and then fully owned by Live Nation, creating a conflict of interest that benefited them and the company to the potential detriment of her career.

Mawson and Millet managed the singer from 2018 through 2025, taking a 20% commission, according to the claim, and during their tenure, Goulding signed agreements with Live Nation companies for touring, merchandise and a documentary film. She claims she was unaware that Live Nation owned her management company and her managers were contractually “restrained” from any activity that might “terminate or otherwise reduce or diminish [their management clients’] business relationship in any respect with the Company [Live Nation] or any of its affiliates,” the claim states.

That picture is a bit Ellie Goulding full acoustic project, which I am not sure I am here for; saying that, I do think the title track of this album works quite well.

Black Prada Dress I still find somewhat grating. In retrospect, hearing 4 Seasons for the first time live on Jools Holland was sub-optimal, when it actually is fine in studio form.

For Your Entertainment hits that 70s big pop thing very nicely, while Nobody Dances and Jealousy do indeed bop. Misremember Me is HORRIBLE though

god Fields of Love and Ways to Hurt are both brilliant and lifted directly from her Halcyon bag. Ways to Hurt is like a Figure 8 sequel and Fields of Love is the best song on the record. why is she like this!!! I really like Sweet Delusion too. great deluxe.

I liked LOSER and I'm pleased to have an Ellie Goulding album that sounds like Ellie Goulding and not that faceless dance stuff she did during lockdown, but yes overall it was slightly meh.

I resent the Ellie Goulding™ tactic of releasing a deluxe JUST after the main album as well but Ellie gonna Ellie.

To put it in perspective we put the new Natalie on afterwards and in comparison it sounded like fucking Ray of Light.

Had to relisten to Natalie again on my own to reassess the timbre and breeziness and of course, when I listened to it in its own as a standalone piece of work it wasn’t a masterpiece at all. Just far better than Ellie’s dirge.
