It’s been pretty much confirmed by Spice loons and even Mel C herself that they have enough unreleased material to fill an entire album of unheard songs, considering they started writing and recording as early as late 1994 and continued throughout 1995. Now, whether those songs actually live up to the standards of the material that made the albums, or whether they’re just a bunch of rough, unmixed demos, is another story.

I don’t exactly think the general public is gagging to have We’re Gonna Make It Happen or C.U.N.T. on vinyl or streaming. (Spoiler: I am.)

Then there’s the scrapped 1998 live album, which has been teased here and there over the years but has ultimately amounted to absolutely nothing.

Spiceworld 25 pretty much proved there was literally nothing left in the vault from that era. They even went so far as to release audio taken from their world tour, extracted from YouTube clips, as bonus material, which was honestly a bit embarrassing.

There’s also plenty of material from the post-Geru era, but I believe that, regardless of her absence from those recordings, anything released under the Spice Girls name still has to be approved by all five members. I might be wrong about that, though, so someone please correct me.

Which also makes me wonder how the hell they convinced Geru to greenlight the Forever vinyl in the first place.
