Probably, but maybe there were many people and that was the first time Enya attended a Clubeo event specifically.

The lady who takes so many of the photos across Donegal is Brid Sweeney, but it's so hard to access old albums from her account because there are so many photos to load ๐Ÿ˜…

I had better luck going into her Facebook timeline and searching the relevant year and month while hoping that the album link eventually turns up.

Also I love that last photo, TBH.
 
Not exactly an update but in a recent interview with Mairรฉad Nรญ Mhaonaigh (thanks for sharing this @IslandAngel ๐Ÿ˜Š) Enya is mentioned ๐Ÿ’—

also how En refused to be paid for her synth bit in a song. :disco:โ™ก

Okay so I finally did the transcript here. She actually talked about her quite a bit. This was around the 20:00 mark.
Greg Hughes (GH): Ragairne was that band then that you did with Frankie then, isn't it?

Mairรฉad Nรญ Mhaonaigh (MNM): Yeah, Ragairne, yeah.

GH: Wasn't Enya in that for a time as well?

MNM: No, she came later when we were actually making our first album for Gael Linn [Irish record company specializing in Irish language music], and Nicky Ryan, who died just last year. He was Enya's manager and producer, so I had met him through Clannad many, many years before that and he says "If you are ever making an album, I want to engineer it and produce it."

So when we were asked by Gael Linn to make the album, soon after we [referring to Mairรฉad and her late husband Frankie Kennedy] were married, I think, must have been '81 [NOTE: She was a bit fuzzy with her dates here. The album was released 1983, so recording must have been around 1982 or whereabouts]. Don't ever ask me the dates of these. [...] So anyway, so Nicky came in and we were making this album and...it was mostly kind of unaccompanied and I had my brother [Gearรณid ร“ Maonaigh, Mairรฉad's older brother, who played guitar] and then Ciarรกn Curran, who ended up in Altan, and it was going really well and I had a song and I said, "I'd really love a nice low drone under this and he says, "Sure, I'll get Eithne." I said, "Oh, would you mind coming in?"

So Eithne came in, she wasn't well known at all at this stage, but she was working on her music and I was saying, I was really thanking her, and we wanted to pay her. She wouldn't take a penny because we're neighbours. "We're neighbours! Why would I do that?" Like we were so delighted that she...and she did a great job with it. So she played on that, Ceol Audaidh, which is The Music of the North. So we're delighted and it's great that it comes up as all this kind of, uh, when people are seeking "unusual Enya tracks," it comes up? [laughs]

GH: Yeah, of course. Enya is a very interesting person career-wise. I don't have any knowledge of her personally, but it feels so enigmatic like, you know, someone so popular, so famous, so influential, sold so many albums, etc. and yet sort of retains this borderline anonymity.

MNM: She's the luckiest musician alive. She doesn't have to tour. She's a...well, maybe she wanted to tour but, you know, it all worked out for her and she's a great person. Obviously, she's from the Brennan family. Um, she's very, very musical. I have to say, her melodies are very strong, and that comes from the same background as myself, in a way. It comes from the tradition, but she has, you know, brought it forward into her imagination and just created beautiful melodies and songs.

There's another bit mentioning Nicky and the Aigle studio in Atrane this time, starting at around 33:28

Mairรฉad Nรญ Mhaonaigh (MNM): [...] We brought out an album on Green Linnet Records, which was an American-based record company, and they wanted us [Mairรฉad and Frankie] to be a duet, and at that stage, Frankie said to me, "Wouldn't it be great if..." We hadn't had a band, so that's when we got Ciarรกn Curran and Mark Kelly into the studio and that was Altan, and it was the great Dรณnal Lunny that produced that album in Nicky Ryan's actual studio. So, Nicky was in and out, and...Nicky would have a different idea of how the sound should be, and Dรณnal wanted to change the sound and...it was really good to hear all of this happening.

Someone else tried this recently and found 3 seemingly new song registrations, no other names besides Enya and Nicky, registered around 2023-24 (leaning towards 2024) ๐Ÿคฉ

I hope it's true โ˜บ๏ธ ๐ŸŽถ ๐Ÿ’— I heard from another source (someone in Gweedore asked Enya in 2023 and she said they were halfway through the songs. Also her brother Bartley said she was recording in May 2023 as well).

Probably it was posted before, but I first time hearing it. Itโ€™s truly remarkable how brilliant that Enya melody still is, even after all these years...Enya is absolutely genius ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ‘

Interesting โœจ I'd not heard that version before either. It does sound AI ๐Ÿ˜… (the voice output, maybe they hummed it and added the surrounding instrumental).
So true though, it's the genius composing and humming by Enya from over 40 years ago that has gifted us with that simple but timeless melody. ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ’•

Haha looking back I also wonder why I was that sure ๐Ÿ˜… probably the excitement of clues and things, plus Nicky was alive.

But I am genuinely sure that the studio hasn't been abandoned, behind-the-scenes footage exists that has yet to be released, and new photo and clips featuring Eithne at events have become more widely shared than before.

I still have hope that a new release may happen, but seems unlikely to be this year (unless it's for Christmas). โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŽ

My first thought on this was that it gives 'retired' ๐Ÿ˜… but obviously it's good to hear that she is enjoying life more โ™ก and more relaxed as there's less pressure on her personally of course. ๐Ÿ˜Œ
