Rupaul’s Drag Race UK - Season 8 (4 Viewers)

I’m so glad Anita was sake, I think she did far better than her critique.

Deserved win for KY but would’ve put Naya above Mocha

It felt like good timing for Delta to go, she's probably earned her spot on Drag Race South Africa vs The World in a few years and left before the character wore thin.

The Shein queen Paris destroyed her in the lipsync, it felt like a real throwback to the days of performing songs from RuPaul's iPod. As irritating as she comes across, I actually thought she was ranked harshly.

This challenge always seems very rigged and I was surprised Alik wasn't sacrificed given she had about two lines. I had to laugh at the judges saying the dinnerlady characters were indistinguishable. The queens don't write the script, loves!

Has the entire Booty Luv canon now been lipsynced to on Drag Race? :D :disco:

I won't lie, a part of me is rooting for Paris Baby to make it through a series of lip syncs from here, turning it out each time to the unveiled pique of all the other queens :D

I had assumed by the edit of Anita's back story that she was going so I was glad she was safe as I like her.

I'd have stuck Alik or Flesh in the bottom as they were both forgettable and are filler queens rather than TDQ going.

Mocha and Naya are my favourites, I can see Mocha as a potential winner.

Mocha and Naya Thorne feel like finalists, but to be honest it feels a bit like KY Kelly is being groomed to be their next La Voix (but with this one actually winning), and I'm sure Coral-Hole Mandi will be shoved into the final against all reason.

It's just not the same without Ma_danni_x - a contest so unhinged I can actually remember her drag name without googling it first.

Paris absolutely slaughtered that lipsync. I wish she had thicker, she’d make a great villain.

“CAW-CAW divas! Don’t get in a FLAP! Because IT’S ME, the titular BIRD from ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and I am FLYING down this runway!”

The way 90% of them chose children's books and one of the few who didn't blatantly just asked ChatGPT to find a famous book with a 1920s aesthetic.

Where's the INTELLECT?

And they didn't even HAVE a 1920s aesthetic! Where was the FUCK ASS BOB? How can a flapper FLAP in a skintight dress?

If only there’d been a movie released, say, in the last 10-15 years that they could have used as a reference point…

I find something slightly suspicious about the theme and the choices made. That the theme was supposedly 'booked and blessed' (which in drag terms doesn't really relate to books at all) but then all bar one queen chose specifically children's books makes me think there was some production sleight of hand happening, for whatever reason.

I think they always get a more prescriptive theme (world book day here) and then make it fit the drag race tone of voice when the episode comes round though.

Perhaps (although I don't know about 'always'), but I'd argue 'booked and blessed' was quite different from World Book Day.

In the context of the episode I don’t think I’d have interpreted “booked and blessed” as anything other than a drag play on the theme of “books.”

And the queens were clearly given that guidance - they just haven’t read a book between them.

One of Brenda’s tweets reads just like it came from Vicky Pollard

She punched me in the back in the yumbo centre because I called her a potato

Good *god*, that Paris tantrum has to be one of the biggest in the history of the franchise. You'd think she was 21, not 28.

She’d run her course but they’ve eliminated everyone VAGUELY interesting so WHAT NOW?

The judging of Anita was way off I genuinely thought they’d be in the top and Flesh be in the bottom.

Don’t agree there is no one interesting left, there are, and it’ll be interesting to see what emerges now there will be more oxygen in the room
