MADONNA AND KYLIE - Love Sensation

Eddie said:
It is so odd that Madonna can be pictured with any number of younger starlets and even the likes of Britney, Xtina (*spits*) and Katy Perry (*voms*) amd it feels normal yet it's THIS that feels so surreal.

Because it is surreal šŸ„°

So is this not on NMF spofify because they have a policy not to add remixes of songs already on there? Or is it just not on there and we are guessing that?

How the hell has the radio edit managed to miss BBC Radio 2's entire playlist for the coming week?

What more do they want?!?

So peeved its not on the Radio 2 playlist this week but they have A-Listed Lulu and made her SINGAL of the week! The mind boggles.

The people cry out for a 'work it out on the remix' moment with L*l* as Madonna's evil stepmother on 'Betrayal'.

is this at least doing decent spotify numbers? Despite no NMF. Spotify and the BEEB not playing ball, ffs!

We could get some sense if you ask 500 members of the public (Some outside a Gay bar, some outside a wetherspoons, a few in a park) if they have downloaded/streamed it then do some kind of Cwej Data Maths.

Perhaps Stuart could add some festive bells turning this to Amazon exclusive aiming Christmas number one. Hmmm, yes, I see the vision.

Under a million is just the hardcore fanz really, innit? WHY is this not on NMF and some other lists? Warners first big mis-step?

Was Stateside by PinkPanthress pushed as a single before it received the remix treatment with ZL?

I think the fact that Love Sensation was actively promoted as a single with remixes weeks ago really works against it in terms of playlisting support.

Great first result. With only one streaming day though itā€™s download fuelled but it has a top 40 shot this week, or at least charting which is great. If she could grab three top forty singles from the project that would be brilliant.

If they shipped the CDs this week they could have been top ten
I guess queens were
Hoping the debut will result in a buildup but with no sporty fly or radio playlists t hard to see how it could happen

According to Gemini:

Yes, Spotify includes remixes in its New Music Friday (NMF) playlists on an exception basis. [1]

Inclusion Guidelines
    • Primary Focus: The editorial Spotify franchise prioritizes brand-new, original priority tracks.
    • Remix Exceptions: Curators occasionally feature remixes, covers, or alternative versions if the new version possesses high cultural relevance or sounds meaningfully different from the original release. [1]

According to ChatGPT:

Yes. Spotifyā€™s New Music Friday can include remixes, but theyā€™re generally included when Spotify considers them notable new releasesā€”not as a separate ā€œremixesā€ category.
A few nuances:
A newly released official remix can appear in New Music Friday.
Itā€™s more likely if the remix is from a prominent artist or is being actively promoted.
A remix of an older song can still qualify if the remix itself is a new release.
Being released on Friday doesnā€™t guarantee inclusion; Spotifyā€™s editorial playlists are curated.

Annieways, just splashed out 69p. Must be the first download I've bought since Padam Padam.
