We've got someone coming to view our flat Saturday. She has an indoor cat. So will probably love Edgar.

My concern is we didn't technically get permission for Edgar. So now I'm convinced if she puts an offer in, Edgar will get found out and evicted.

My work sponsors England rugby and they ran a competition recently to win tickets to England Women. I think I got back from lunch drinks once and just hit ENTER ALL and now for two weeks running I have won :D but last weekend's match was in Salford (I was in Athens) and this weekend's match is in Cardiff (I'm nowhere, but I'm also not going to Cardiff!).

Lesson learnt: never go for things, you might fucking win

Out of interest Moopy, if you owned a flat, would it cross your mind to ask permission to get a cat 🤔

Not if I owned it BUT I guess if it’s a rule there isn’t much you can do but keep the cat out of the window haha

I mean, when we moved in 14 years ago we got permission to have our 2 cats.

So I just assumed the permission still stood with Edgar. The freeholder has changed but it's still the same company

I kind of see it the same as I see HOAs. If I’m in ownership, I’m not going to let others decide what I can and cannot do in my own home.

That's kind of how I see it as well. Although I wouldn't get a noisy dog because that may piss people off.

Leasehold sucks. We're still trying to sort out extension out, it's been going on for 12 months!

I think you should be fine. It’s the content of the lease that matters and that clearly allows pets with agreement. You could argue that they would have to actively withdraw their consent and that it isn’t reasonable for them to do that with a pet you already have.

Thank you ❤️

I am 99.9% certain they didn't give you permission to have those two specific cats dearest Raquel. You'll be fine.
