Miley Cyrus - BASS PERSUADES (Sept. 18th)

The whole of* SHE IS COMING was fire. Mother's Daughter, Slide Away, Unholy, Party Up the Street :disco:

*I have misplaced Cattitude from my memory

not bad. she's a low key big pop chanteuse these days.

Love Mildred, but she doesn't do a lot of promo and she doesn't tour so I can't imagine it'd be a great investment to throw loads of marketing spend at her...

do we love or hate her right now? I can't tell. this thread's giving me whiplash.

Personally I really like the album. It's far from amazing, but definitely not shit. It's mid-to-very-good which is fine by me!

I do love me some Mildred of course, but the poor girl has been given so many chances it's astonishing at this point; is she a big album seller? Commercially, the average person would tell you she hasn't had a big hit since Flowers, even though Something Beautiful was amazing and sounded big, but that's probably because I connected with it on another level.

Everything has gone downhill since she released this awful, awful leftover track.

I remember that song with Pharrell was being teased a lot before release and it seemed it was going to be a banger and a huge hit.

All that goodwill swiftly left the second it was released :D Who thought that was a good idea!?

And the average person probably thinks her last big hit before Flowers was Wrecking Ball... perhaps they are correct... but honestly who cares, as the amount of bangers she has fed to those who are 'not the average person' since both is enough to keep me fed!

Bizarrely i think it was a BANGERZ leftover.

I’m on my second listen now and I don’t hate it! I think Let’s Get Married and Orbit are the only two tracks I don’t like.

ew at that whole thing being an ad for Kalshi. also how lovely to have "fans" like that! #kalshipartner

just saw that she's an influencer who interviews celebs while wearing sunglasses. BIN HER.

This should’ve just been called an EP and been the four songs everyone likes and then real comeback album 2027. This is kind of a mild whimper even though it isn’t bad.

It’s not a commercial album per se and there are no clear bangers but it’s really not bad at all. I agree that it could have been a very strong 6 track EP. It’s not that long to begin with.

She also came out of nowhere and released a song that had barely hit radio or built up any traction on streaming and the album was out the following week. She’d have been better off doing a blind drop and getting some buzz from that. But she released it as a normal album with no buildup. There’s probably only a handful of artists who can do that these days and still have a massive hit

the fact that the album containing FLOWERS didn't even get to #1 is beyond wild
