TV Ratings 2026 (1 Viewer)

Interesting to see Vigil falling behind Trigger Point after beating it in week one.

I watched the first 3 episodes of Vigil and gave up. It’s not really character driven enough for me and I remember watching the other seasons but can’t really remember if I enjoyed them or not. I haven’t watched Trigger Point yet but think I did enjoy previous seasons.

The Blame with Michelle Keegan is VERY GOOD. I binged that over a couple of days.

Has Dragons Den lost a fair amount of viewers @lolly ? For some reason I thought it got a lot more viewers than that.

That's the ITV offering against The Split Up on BBC isn't it? And ITV are outperforming the BBC on the overnights, at least.

I’m not sure? I think it has just started? I haven’t heard of The Split up.

It's a spin off of The Split with Nicola Walker and Stephen Mangan, which had 4 series from 2018 - 2024. Different writer and cast, though.

I don't think it's ever been a huge ratings hit, and of course was on BBC2 for its first 17 series. Since it moved to BBC1. It looks like it averaged just below 4m for a few series, but does seem to have dipped again. But then so have most things. In terms of position in the chart, it seems to be hovering around in a similar position, so in that sense it's keeping pace.

Plus I'd imagine it's a relatively cheap show to make, so I suspect it won't be the first thing to get the chop.

Ooh I loved The Split. Another one I must catch up on.

For some reason I had it up at about 8 million viewers in my head. I still enjoy it when I come across it but never really seek it out if I don’t catch it live.

Sorry, it was only when looking to see if the chart had updated for this week that I discovered that I didn't post it last week. I'll get them up tonight.

I imagine the 28 day figures will give it a decent boost, but surely there won't be a fourth series of Vigil unless it's a huge bump. I'd much rather hope the BBC have a new drama lined up for Suranne Jones.

Definitely diminishing returns with this one. Both Vigil and Trigger Point felt like they reached a fair place to leave things.

How does that Strictly figure compare to last years 7 day figure @lolly?
Only very narrowly down - it was 6.433m for the launch last year. But like we've said before, there always likely was to be an audience tuning in to see the new line up; the test will be the next few weeks.

Big Brother got between 1.01 and 1.130m for each of its episodes last week, an audience share of up to 14% which ITV must be very happy with for ITV2.

And I see it's already been posted in the main thread that it's the highest audience in 3 years.

This season has been ASTONISHINGLY GOOD.

01 The Great British Bake Off 7.187m
02 Strictly Come Dancing 6.204m

As posted in the Strictly thread a couple of weeks ago

This was the top of the chart for the week of the first Strictly live show last year, with 7 day consolidation. I suspect it will be a lot closer this year - and possibly end up in GBBO's favour.

01 Strictly Come Dancing 7.694m
02 The Great British Bake Off 6.704m

Turns out GBBO thwacked it.

Between 0.953m and 1.120m for Big Brother, so down slightly on the previous week.
