I'm on holiday.

I've activated under attack mode on cloudflare though, which is the nuclear option, until someone has time to find a better long term solution.

For me, thats better. Slight lag while cloudflare does its ting, then fast.

Is indie not on holiday? Where are Zen and Kate?

I'm not, just had a busy day at work and not had chance to log in today.

Seems ok for now?

The Admin Election form

Indie · 2026-10-19T17:03:36+0100

But yes, flicking through the server log it looks like whatever happened was due to significant overload in our server due to a swarm of guests from... somewhere.

We'll keep the cloudflare on max for the time being

Also, admin are unpaid volunteers with real life things to deal with. Let's not forget.

while this is true of course, it's not like there's been any communication about who is available while other admin are on holiday/offline

Iguana · 2026-10-19T18:40:52+0100

I'm not a mod but I'd like to let you all know I'll be going on a TEA BREAK in 5. Anyone joining me? I have rich tea biscuits and I'm not afraid to share.

Perhaps so. From the above I see that one admin is on holiday (but still responded) and the other responded as soon as they could. All within 24 hours of the issue being flagged.

I'm not saying they're always so efficient with every issue, but in this case I think it's a fair response. But that's just my opinion!
