Actually I’ve had a fruit shower just like Britney. Was badly bruised and scarred for life by the pineapples and coconuts but goodness me it was refreshing :disco:

Britney Spears has asked a court not to return her father to a role that gave him control over many aspects of her life and career.

Jamie Spears has been his daughter's legal conservator for 12 years, due to concerns around her mental health.

He temporarily stepped aside from the role overseeing her personal affairs in 2019, citing his own health problems.

Some of Spears' fans believe she was forced into the arrangement, and have been running a #FreeBritney campaign.

"Britney is strongly opposed to James' return as conservator of her person," according to a court document filed to the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles.

It explained that the 38-year-old singer was in favour of the role, which she said had "rescued her from a collapse, exploitation by predatory individuals and financial ruin" and made her "able to regain her position as a world class entertainer".

However, she wants her manager Jodi Montgomery, who stepped in for her father during his absence, to permanently oversee her personal affairs, once the conservatorship is up for extension again after 22 August.

What IS a conservator, exactly? Is it like Power Of Attorney here?
 
Poor Britney, not sure if her MANAGER is the right person for this either. If you can't trust your FAMILY or your EMPLOYEES, who are you going to turn to, your FRIENDS? Give LA LOHAN a call, sure!
 
My best friend's mother is in a similar situation (she's bipolar grade 2 and unless someone exerts some control she will spend her life savings on FLOWERS if she wakes up that way inclined) and it's a fucking mess all around. She doesn't want her daughters to be the custodians, her psychiatrist refuses and she has a MERRY-GO-ROUND of friends who look after her (provided she PAYS them of course :eyes ).

Best solution they found was to find a state custodian appointed by a judge, who'll remain impartial to any FAMILY WOES or MONEY ISSUES. But I imagine that's not an option in the US.

From the situation with my friend's mother, I'd imagine it's the same as a 'custodian'. Someone whose job is to look after your state and control the flow of money going in (but not out).
 
I guess Power of Attorney here doesn't necessarily involve any caring responsibility, does it? It's just someone who is authorised to act on your behalf in personal and legal matters. So in all likelihood it may (and probably also usually is) held by someone In a caring role (I know my Aunt had it for my grandmother in her later years), but it could just be a legal body.

It's the same nervous energy she's exhibited since 2011 to be honest. Did you ever watch her on the X-Factor? She did seem to rebound a bit in 2013-2016. The strange part is that it is hard to believe that it is HER that's choosing to posts these social media/interactive posts. The lack of relevance to her captions relative to the video is also a bit OFF.

Apparently the conservatorship was extended six more months.
 
She does look uncomfortable and these softball questions (that nobody asked for anywhere on her feed) make it look even more suspect.

Her favourite book ("very good question") is a Danielle Steel novel, really? :D
 
It comes across like she's not allowed to do it and has snuck off to do so whilst father puts her cheesy oatmeal thing in the microwave.

What on EARTH is this?:D The URGENCY in answering these silly questions. Like these needed to be addressed ASAP.

Britney being a sad robot in 2011 was quite something but 2020 is a whole new level of wild.

Femme Fatale has not aged well in the LEAST (keep How I Roll and Criminal, toss the rest) and I'd argue Glory is a much stronger record.

Hold It Against Me and particularly Till The World Ends are some real post-dubstep/EDM-lite garbage.
