Viva Forever is just Goodbye’s less attractive sister. Even when listening to Viva Forever, you’re thinking of Goodbye.
Not me. I can't think of Goodbye without summoning agonising PTSD. I'm sure I can't be the only one who wept for FIVE YEARS TWO MONTHS AND THREE DAYS NON-STOP after Geri left :(

Look for the rainbow in every storm
Find out for certain
love's gonna be there for you

You'll always be someone's baby

Goodbye my friend

I know you're gone, you said you're gone
But I can still feel you here

It's not the end

Gotta keep it strong
Before the pain turns into fear

So glad we made it
Time will never change it, no no no

Frozen for me really was an OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK moment when I first heard it. Still is, to a lesser extent than back then. Of course she's inspired multiple OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK moments in more recent years, except of a VERY different nature
She's a legend she's an icon and
She is
The moment

The moment being the best UK number 1 single of 1998

BITE ME, SPICE FUCKERS!

Absolutely. Coming off the back of a BALLADS album and Evita it was a total surprise. One of the best things she ever did.

Viva Forever is the last Spice Girls single in their truest form, and that video couldn’t have been a better fit for the end. It is the perfect song about the loss of something abstract. It’s actually very underrated I feel, I think it should be a British standard like White Cliffs of Dover or On the Bible by Deuce.

She did Something TO REMEMBER and then Evita proving to all of us that she can have The Voice of An Angle
But then took us all by surprise when she returned
As a beguiling Sorceress in the Mojave desert
I thought it was just her in a black wig on a beach but HORSES FOR COURSES :tongueout:

Also she didn't DO anything with Something To Remember. It was a COMPILATION!

Viva Forever is nice enough but partly ruined by Victoria's vocals and I get annoyed with the Mel C always be MAAAIHHAIAINNEE!! adlibs
It's not a popular opinion but I didn't like Mel C in Spice Girls.
Solo she was/is fine but as part of Spice Girls she always had to SHOEHORN those adlibs in.

:D Call It Love (JX Kissy Kissy Mix), surely?

I actually feel like Victoria’s vocals elevate the wisdom of the whole song. Think about all that she must have seen growing up at the Laine Theatre Arts school in Epsom, Surrey.

I agree that Melanie Sea’s (sp?) vocals were often shrill and unnecessary (the “WE wanna THANK YOU!” that jumbles on during the final thirty seconds of Stop in particular) but she’s like a necessary carbohydrate on the plate in order for the whole meal to work. She’s essentially a potato, so get used to it or go hungry.

I think I’m going to kill you! Victoria’s verse is the highlight of the song!

Mel C’s vocals can be too shrill, yes, but not in Viva.

By the way Holler was on at the gym on Sunday and, not gonna lie, it's a BAWP
