Another few songs leave the competition, a notably poor round for boybands and builders. 27 songs remain as the the remaining songs from the first two rounds now compete against eachother!

What a surprisingly good list of number ones (well, the ones that are left anyway). I can see this being quite difficult when it gets down to 5 or 6
 
A lot of great songs in this list but my winner would be, without a doubt, Born to Make You Happy.
 
I think it would be fairer for the songs eliminated in round 2 to be mixed in with the songs eliminated in round 1 and sorted by voting percentages. But it’s a moot point I guess.
 
what an incredible year for #1s. the groups are letting the side down though. get Steps, A1 and S Club OUT.

also, were there really 45 number ones that year?
