2020 USA Presidential Elections

Four more years?

  • Total voters
    56
I got 89% green, 87% Democrat, 81% American Solidarity, and 5% Republican.

:D

Well, unlike you naive idealists, I’m a realist and believe in realpolitik. Or something.

93% Democrat
92% Green
70% American Solidarity
28% Libertarian
2% Republican

We'd all vote fucking Green if they had a chance of being elected. I'm a member of the Green Party and don't vote for them every time.

I got 11% but apparently he has a sensible stance on increased funding for public transportation.

Well that explains my 22% because public transport is everything, so fuck you all and your car manufacturing lobbyist money.

1% Donald. Apparently because I said Leadership was important?

Yeah but we’re not talking about CULTS! :D

Yeah I think it seems to come from the leadership qualities, which will be especially warped by opinion polling that makes no sense to objective reality.

I hate quizzes like that. Because there's any chance at all that "sensible increase in public transport spending" from Trump wouldn't just go the same way as Infrastructure Week

I mean joking aside but I hope you all don’t really think that anything other than 0% of shared views with Trump makes you a bad person. :eyes:

Of course not. I wasn't expecting a big fat zero so I was just amused (and pleased)

It’s an actual fact that blacks and latinos have to queue a lot longer to vote, which is all kinds of wrong.

They closed down a bunch of polling stations so that it’s harder for non-white voters to vote in time. Georgia was particularly notorious for it last time.

I imagine the situation is very different in the more white/affluent parts of the state.

Did we see the story about the Californian GOP putting out fake ballot boxes?!

This is the really mucky period when voter repression really kicks off. And it's mostly permitted in law. Hope Biden adds to the SCOTUS and changes it all back.

once again, the US is not a first world country. this is some Russia / China / Guatemala shit.

Yep! Remember the 'electoral irregularities' the US always use as justification for backing coups in Latin American countries? It's never anything on the scale of what they do themselves, funny isn't it :eyes:

truly outrageous how flagrant it is.
the trump campaign is going to deploy every trick in the book to surpress the vote.

Is it really widespread? ANY irregularity is absolutely awful and unacceptable, I'm just wondering in a population of 300 million how many of the votes are being tampered with/having to wait 11 hours. I get a bit sceptical after all those videos from 2019 election day in the UK showing how millions of students were turning out to vote Labour and...yeah

The gubernatorial election in Georgia was on a knife edge, and voter suppression almost certainly cost Stacey Abrams the election.

Also I love getting to use the word gubernatorial.
