I don't get how any GOP member could push the 'Hunter Biden was on drugs' story with a straight face when this is staring at them

He was definitely doing lines backstage with Kimberley that night, they were both off their heads.
 
The drugs story is a distraction. The real story is Hunter selling access and influence to foreign businessmen and Joe Biden's possible involvement in that.

The source may be dubious but there's enough detail there to make it worth investigating further. There has certainly been a lower burden of proof to several unflattering stories about Trump that were published in the past few years.

Nobody outside of the conservative press is covering it because they don't want to risk Biden losing the election. The unprecedented censorship of the story by the tech platforms is actually making the situation worse though. They should have just waited for it to slip out of the news cycle.

He's a conservative writing an op ed. The Hill knows it's click bait so why not... I love how he goes on and on about the science of polling and then says Hunter's emails will be an issue for Biden. He doesn't seem to mention what algorithm he uses to accurately put a value on the impact of Hunter's foot wank.

Any pollster worth their salt would know to account for the 'Shy Foot Fetishist' phenom.
 
The very idea that the shy Republican is a new concept. What is this, polling for beginners? Quality polls have that factored in.

Saying the quiet part out loud again. Here he is brazenly admitting that he's banking on discounting any vote that can't be counted on November 3 (i.e the vast majority of mail and early votes) with a little help from 'the courts' (i.e. Amy Coney Barrett and the rest of his hand-picked acolytes)

She cited a need for speed for the court to make a decision and a lack of time to familiarise herself with the case files.

This is where, weirdly, the lifetime appointment thing may work against Trump. She no longer needs him or the republicans for anything. If they genuinely believe that Trump has no hope, then it doesn't make sense to be too controversial about election issues, as it makes court packing even more likely and dilutes her and other right wing judges power.

let's hope that's how they see it... it's encouraging they didn't vote along party lines for that particular case but they could also just be saving their evils.
 
I do also think/hope there's probably a limit to how brazen they can be, but few of the things ACB has already willingly debased herself for are are likely to happen under a Biden government, so you have to wonder how big of a long game she's willing to play...
 
How is it even possible that he can get away with saying something like this? I mean I know he has got away with a lot, but the fact that he is openly trying to cheat without anyone from his corrupt party is stopping him... and people are hoping the courts will stick to the ”rules”. How can they call themselves a democracy?
 
The economist has estimated that Biden currently has a 96% chance of winning the Electoral College.
 
I know we should feel pretty confident at this stage but next week is really going to be horrible isn’t it?

I mean yes, but I’m quite selfishly looking forward to what promises to be EVENT TELEVISION as I really have nothing else going on right now.

Lockdown means I’ll be able to work more often from home, so I shall be arranging for that to happen next Wednesday!
