Yeah that's a tricky one. I can see why businesses don't pay when you have to be off for a child, but most places I've worked out, they just let parents take it as sick pay from their allowance. I'm shocked you don't get anything, especially as you've been there for ages.

Will you be hiring someone else to work in her place? If not, then you aren't losing money, you're at worse losing a few hours help. Just pay her.

Yep we need someone else to help out, I'm going in but I'm salaried so I'll just be working extra for nothing. But we're having to pay others to work extra. But we're going to pay her.
 
But when you do I’ll pay your full salary when you got to Thailand for 5 weeks
