A rewatch TIMETABLE

We could always do one Melfest drunk rewatch and one drunk ESC rewatch each week. That way everyone would be happy (I think)

That Melfest on Saturday was fun after a few ales....another one of those or A Song For Europe would be preferable to wasting a full contest.

Are we reaching some sort of general agreement that the ESC should only be the main show on Weds and Sat?

Or perhaps only doing old ones as late night ones.

Or perhaps only doing old ones as late night ones anyway.

Although actually I thought that was what we agreed before anyway :D

Well what about if we pencil in some ideas for post-watches now? @lolly you found something you wanted to watch last night, didn’t you? And I wonder if @Alla could even kindly upload some more Melfests for us.

Frankly I'll accept any Eurovision year, any time of the week really, I'm fine with all that.

1981 A Song For Europe. Just under an hour long as well.

There are even some of the Great British Song Contests from the late 90s on YouTube, and they are around 30 minutes long. Perhaps we should be using throwaway shite like that when we're all in a heightened state.

Actually Suomi, can you officially add Great British Song Contest 1997 to the list? A Yodel In The Canyon Of Love is essential late night viewing if ever anything was. 33 minutes for the whole thing.

I'm not sure if it needs a date, but perhaps we can have a list of things to go for if we're all slavering one night and want to go off script.

I’ll add that if for some reason the mood is to drunkenly rewatch any Eurovision we’ve previously seen, that should be fine regardless of the year.

Should I go as far as designating set people who are allowed to open drunk rewatch threads? If so, I’d nominate myself, Ag, dmlaw and lolly as we were the cooler heads from last night’s calamity.

I was thinking of editing something for the gayz, but after last night I doubt I'll bother.
No you should! I’ve made it my solemn vow to end incidents like last night or die trying.
I’ve learned an important lesson about giving gays free reign to make their own entertainment. The enduring popularity of Madonna is proof enough that some people need to be told what they should and shouldn’t be enjoying.

Can we just put all the available 70s/ 80s/ agreed shit ones on for late night watches? We can go in order. I don't care.

That evil Penelope won't unless it's whatever he says, I'm telling you.

1975 is there in full. First year they used the current 12, 10, 8 etc voting format. 2 hours 12 minutes long.

Shove in the odd Song For Europe, Melodifestivalen for variety. We of course have semi finals to play with too. If we COMMIT to a timetable by the weekend and the mods are available to implement them then we're sorted. Penelope will continue to PISS AROUND no doubt. But hopefully we'll safeguards to stop any further carnage. Crazy posting levels are fun, but so is our mental health. As Suomi said this isolation is all of ours.

1968 also there in full. First year in colour, plus Katie Boyle. 1 hour 36 minutes.

Pretty sure 1970, 1972 and 1973 are also there.

And OF COURSE 1974.

1971 also. 1 hour 46 minutes.

I've chosen those three totally at random, but can we pencil those in and see how we go?

The one I checked for 1973 said one entry was removed for copyright reasons. But if there's another version, great. I'd love to do it.
