@Kalabaliken, as an expert in anything that finishes in "vision", there was a very weird performance by a woman in Türkvizyon a few years ago, making like animal noises or so, do you know which one I mean and can you link me to that life changing performance? Thanks :disco:

Oh I think we SHOULD. We’ll have no idea who wins and no prior knowledge of the songs so there’s that all-important surprise element (and also we’ll have hardly any idea what’s going on for the duration) :disco:
 
I’ve seen them all already (quelle surprise) but well up for a rewatch. But get the wine in because you will surely need it!
 
I had no doubt that you watched them all, always good to practice some Tajik.
 
We are getting quite rammed, but I'd definitely like to schedule one in.

Oh I can always watch them in my own time while lightly grilling my leg on the Breville. Although having had a flick through the goods, maybe not :tongueout:

I’m never quite sure why 1989 is presented as some sort of hellish nadir. Thomas Forstner (:disco:)! Grup Pan! Nice Spanish lady with relatively lovely song! Entertainingly poor entries from Iceland and Luxembourg! Anyway I’ve no idea why I’m even going into this but I suppose there hasn’t been much Eurovision chat of late :)

Oh god yes! Spain 1989 is a gem. Tries so hard to be a GLORIA ESTEFAN BALLAD and never gets anywhere near. :disco:
 
Avrei Voluto is from 1989 and it's one of my favourite Eurovision songs ever. It was the perfect example of the trend of offputting singer/emphysema vocals that Italy excel at.

Not that Gloria has her voice, of course. And yes, no matter what these know-it-all say, 1989 has some great songs, @Kalabaliken would agree too. Not that I remember/know many, but it doesn't matter :)
