I'm quite pleased that at least some people liked it. It's not the most accessible song and, to be honest, its beauty is all in its lyrics. So, thanks to the people that liked it enough to vote for it.

I blame the Representation of my entry in the recap video and the voters who only watched that! Ban them!

How did @SDF drop to 18th place :o I have to say, whilst at the time I have Nina my 20, it’s your song that I’ve listened to most since voting and is my favourite take away from this.

Well what a drama these last few pages were!

Despite the conflama, I’m still game for hosting a version at some point and I THINK I might have a concept that will please every Mary in the flock!
 
Of everything I gave points to, it's the Genosha entry from @ButterTart that's really staying with me I find. I'd have scored it higher if we were doing it today, I think.

So happy to hear that. It’s one of my absolute favourite songs (it’s used in the video package at the Gundam statue in Tokyo and it’s my mission to see it one day), I was dead nervous about sending it because I think I might have kicked off if people slated it.

Apart from the usual raspberries, no. Chuffed to bits!
I’ve a couple of keepers - all of the Dance ones have made it into my Post 2000 Dancerie masterlist, which is the highest accolade any song could achieve.
Countess Luann, Turbo Killer, I’m a Soy Latte and your ladies wot lunch were also surprise smashes for me.

Also he trades under about 85 different names (probably a tax fiddle) but you can find his stuff on Spotify. There’s also an acoustic version of Cage which I NEARLY sent.

She was on the Voice Australia years ago (ugh!) then had a feature on this song which was huge at the time on Australian radio and i ended up loving despite it not usually being my thing.



They haven't been active on social media since Blind bombed (i mean the video has less than 3000 views despite being out nearly three years) so i'm assuming they're no longer active as a duo. I think they had such promise, definitely different to a lot of the stuff Australia churns out (i suppose being based in Sweden and him being Swedish would do that) :disco:
 
I didn't really notice Blind on first hearing it, but it really grew over the course of the voting period. A prime example of why the people who only listen to the songs once, or, worse, who vote based on the recap alone, should probably be tarred and feathered.
 
Really quite late to the show but what a fab results party @Iguana :disco:

Perfectly happy with 14th (I predicted 17th so not far off) and pretty much went as I expected with votes - a small basket of big scores (I think I have @Ag @Kate @ButterTart and @Indie to thank for that, sorry if I've forgotten anyone) and very little else :D

I would say it's genuinely nowhere near my favourite song of his, not even top 20, BUT it was the only one with a "proper" video which, great as it is, was clearly unnecessary thinking in the end apart from videos making the launch night more fun. "Turbo Killer" is a bit "noisy", I think others with a more synthy-dance edge might have snuck in a few spots higher. I nearly entered this one which to be fair has an ace fan made video:

 
A shame it wasn't our Diddy who broke the Asian curse but delighted Buttertart managed it with that belter. I thought people would dismiss it on account of being a bit Disney, but then, that's kind of WHY it was good.

Justice for Orange Caramel however. I love that nonsense so much so thank you @ZenGiraffe for the introduction!

Also a bit stunned at Curacao aka Heart of Mine not even making the top 10. It was mooted as a clear favourite by many. I do wonder if sometimes people, consciously or otherwise, might rank a clear favourite lower on account of it "not needing votes".

Not too fussed on the top 2 spots, sorry :D Although the winner nearly got a point from me. But very very happy/surprised for Nina and whichever poster/country that was. All in all nothing too shocking and some lovely variation and excitement in the voting.
