A Song For Moopy - Iguana edition - VOTING CLOSED

Its fourteen. It kinda represents about a third of the songs, which is fair.
 
I think there's only about four or five I quite like that will miss out.

I just tried the original. It's fine and all but I'm a sucker for a provincial gay club mix :disco:

That said the UK and it's dirty 4am fisting swing vibes is also BONING ME.
 
Twins beat the Secret Sisters as far as family entries go.

There's an awful lot of Babylon related entries. Confusing.

I haven't watched the videos since the preview shows. Spotify is absolutely revealing the ones to keep or dump. There's a couple that I'd have voted for based on videos but the songs less so.
 
I'm deciding what I like from the audios only, it's only after I've voted that I might investigate the videos.
 
I feel like the recap for my song was SABOTAGED a bit but I’m trying to stay calm and collected.
 
Right, I had best attend to this...been a bit elsewhere this week what with work, doing some mixes and a Bandcamp Friday giving me plenty of noise for my lugs.
 
I tried to give every entry either a chorus or some other part that I felt conveyed the essence of the song - I appreciate that not everyone will agree with my decisions! Also some of the entries aren't going to shine as much in the small clip format, but I wanted to keep everything the same length for reasons of fairness.
 
It feels odd trying to process forty odd entries at once, I’ve finally whittled down my shortlist from the first night and will do so for the second tomorrow. I’ll then ponder over it for a bit before deciding I liked something else and will end starting all over again, delivering my verdict to Iguana two minutes before the polls close :disco:

I have a rough idea of how I'm voting but will give it another day or two in case some of the songs grow on me.
 
It’s hard to comment tbh, I can’t remember what the countries are

My top ones are quite different but had some nu-80s vibes. I like that c’est bon one and a few dance ones.
 
I've done an initial filter out of ones I'd happily never hear again, but that still leaves about 25 to rank.
 
My plans to get down to this yesterday were waylaid due to a Nurse With Wound album, a Stooges DVD and an impromtu tidy-up when I couldn't find the sellotape.

I'm off work all week, however.
