A Song For Moopy - Iguana edition - VOTING CLOSED

Top quality trolling from "Chromatica". I think I'll be using "absolute fine" as a compliment from now on. I trust the entrant did the appropriate checks to ensure that the bloke wasn't found to have a couple of human heads in his freezer in the early 90s.
 
Don't think I could pick a clear favourite, there seems to be 3 distinct voting blocs going by previous contests.

The sloppy bottom ballad queens.

The chemmed up euro electro queens

...and eurgh, the STRAIGHTS.

The key to winning is a song that appeals to at least 2 of these blocs.

For example RS won the first round by appealing to both the chemmy queens and the straights, whereas DC won by appealing to the euro queens and the sloppy bottom ballad queens.

Those queens that send in obscure vintage rarities

and, ASIAN queens, but they're not really powerful enough to win the competition.

@Iguana I have been listening bit by bit. I am around 32 songs in to the Spotify playlist. Can I just check are the first 20 from round 1, and the second 20 round 2 or are they mixed on the playlist?
 
I will have a run through the rest of them then listen to the recap to score. What a varied selection. Some better than others, but really NOT BAD. :o

Woohoo!! Yes that's right save that, as Lucille says, Japan (last song in round 2) is not on the Spotify playlist and is YouTube only.

It’s true, judging from what has been mentioned, nothing screams a winner, which makes it all exciting.

This is why I’m failing again this time because I’m only appealing to one of these blocks. AND the Asian block probably hates it.
 
I still have to look for Colombia on Spotify because it doesn’t show up on the playlist for me.
 
I suspect Lucy has a vested interest in Japan.

She was raving about it in the viewing party thread if I recall.I wouldn’t put it past her to try and blow her own trumpet (as well as everyone else’s). :ken:
 
I submitted Japanese house last time, I wouldn’t be so obvious as to do it again :tongueout:

I did mine on a Sunday. The all dayer finishing early I thought worked surprisingly well.
