A Song for Moopy: Undercover - first viewing gala TONIGHT 7pm (1 Viewer)

I know it's not a popular opinion to have, but I can't stand Anthony and the J's vocalist's vocals. It's like those morose cover versions you get at the end of a Blacklist episode. Now, if the video had been slow motion moody footage of Solange I'd be in bits right now, so it's a thin line.

The only thing that would make this thing more perfect would be if this is Natalie Powers powering the lung-emptying bits (some people call it singing).

Sadly not Liz Dawn, I'm here for this cheek busting trance version of Cloudbusting. It actually sounds like a keeper and I usually hate Kate covers (see that ghastly, inexplicably praised Placebo cover). This is so what I loved in the early 2000s. Is she that musical woman from Drag Race Canada who for cyber bullied?

Oh lordë at Human. It does remind me that I love the Divinyls Only Human On The Inside, which I only discovered because The Pretenders covered it.

Actually, it's cheap and chirpy and quite lovely. But will it be enough to get votes by the end of this subjection?

Well, I know this one so it has work to do. I'm liking the languid, slightly adroit disco-fied Telepopmusik feel, but I'm moving on. This gets a placeholder spot on my score sheet.

Well I skipped the shit one and into Anoushka. They get points for San Francisco or for making me think it's San Francisco.

I object to covers like this Bad romance one. It's like the candlelight versions of 90s dance songs that don't even have anything to do with Hyacinth Bucket, it comes across as trying to be ironic or having difficulties admitting one likes a so-called cheesy pop song.

I've just looked on her IMDB and she plays a factory worker on Japan's longest running soap Konichiwa Street, so all indications point to yes, yes she is!

You Sexy Thing is just monsterously bad. I don't know whether the worst bit is 'do ya, do ya, do ya', 'rub a dub dub' or that mole on the brunette's chin that is somehow bigger than the entire rest of her head.

The reason I don’t do these solo listening parties is that I get a bit worn out with the constant sleuthing of who is who, which I don’t really care about until the reveal. Also I’d inevitably have to comment on my own track and pretend it’s not, which is just too much :D

Also several of them aren’t really worth commenting on.

HAVING SAID THAT, I’d say Part 1 is the weakest one, at MOST 6 of them will get point. But it has my overall top 3 too, so make of that what you will. :disco:

need to seek out one song in each part that’s blocked on YouTube JP too *dramatic sigh*

anyway that’s not casting any aspersions on dear @ButterTart , lovely job organising these yahoos

Oh I like throwing people off the scent!

I just shotgunned both parts in one sitting, so I don’t have the life force to outwit anyone

I guess it would be obvious anyway (if anyone credits be with any taste at all)
