I best know Juanita Moore (1914-2014), who lived 99 years, for her small roles in Affair In Trinidad (1952), Women's Prison (1955), Ransom! (1956) and The Girl Can't Help It (1956), but it is her Oscar™ nominated turn in Imitation of Life (1959) that is her biggest success. Just skimming through her works, I don't think I've seen a single thing from the 60s onwards. Really looking forward to watching this.

Swanning in here to say that Imitation of Life is Sirk's multifaceted masterpiece, a melodrama beyond compare, and the whole delirious thing hinges upon Ms. Moore's timeless performance. I've seen nothing else of hers, but she deserves all the recognition in the world for what she did there. Queen!
