I was in London yesterday and still didn't see any advertising. Obviously there was huge fanfare at the end of last year, but considering there's been nothing for a few months now I was surprised.

I assume a lot of the advertising on the underground etc is aimed at tourists who are there to buy tickets to go now or in a few days, but it did strike me as odd to see nothing, considering there are still tickets left even for some early dates, never mind through until the end of December.
 
At this stage, they might as well rely on the press blitz it's going to get around the opening, then ramp up the adverts afterwards.

I've never seen adverts for Mamma Mia The Party but that seems to sell itself. I'm amazed it doesn't get more confused with the stage show.
 
To be honest I keep forgetting that MM The Party still exists. Where even is it?
 
I guess I just worry that Voyage may get a critical mauling and then tickets won't shift like they hope. But I suppose they are banking on it being critic proof like Mamma Mia itself was.

The venue is a little way out of the Glittering West End for the tourists though, isn't it? I wonder how many will bite.

No, genuinely none at all. And he doesn't either. The whole audience participation angle is something which doesn't appeal at all.

It looks hellish and £250 a pop for the top package too. But it seems to sell and it's got an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 on google so...

I've been in the venue and seen some of the performances without an audience and it had zero appeal. Maybe it takes off when the room is full and everyone is tanked up.
 
Is the venue just an empty hall made out like a Greek taverna with the show happening around you?

I saw a supper club production of Chess in Chicago about a decade ago and that was odd enough, without the interaction element.
 
MM The Party seems more like a boozy brunch type thing from what I have seen

Basically exactly that, an ersatz taverna on two levels with loads of tables and a fountain / stage in the middle.

That Chess thing sounds odd I can't imagine noshing on a burger whilst Florence and Freddie rip their relationship apart :D

Hun, some recent musical theatre graduate hollering Waterloo into your face whilst you tuck into your cauli surprise will make you forget the menu entirely.
 
OK worry not, I have started seeing ads for this pop up at tube stations in recent days.

That would be LOVELY if you don't mind. I have tried through the website, but apparently the only way you can order physical copies is to subscribe for three months for twenty quid. I'm not sure I love him THAT much.
 
I forgot to mention it here, but my tickets sold a couple of weeks ago! Highly in demand event :disco:
 
Yeah, I did it through Ticketmaster's own reselling function - I got face value back, but I believe they listed them for higher.
