Addison Rae - Addison (album) + Fame is a Gun

In The Rain is especially good, very Annie-esque. Times Like These is great too... she's SO CONFUSED :disco:

I keep reading how she was spawned by Hype House, which I don't completely understand but was apparently some kind of influencer creative collective. All I know is that Hype House gave with Addison but took away with Alex Warren and his vice-like grip on the charts.

It's a pretty great album. She's clearly got great taste in music, and the album is lightyears away from her debut EP which sounded EXACTLY how you'd expect a vanity project from a Tik Tok it-girl to sound.

lowkey surprised by how much I’ve been listening to this despite my total disinterest in anything related to TicToc

I think it's a good album, but not one I'll be rinsing. I've been trying to pinpoint why since all the singles and a couple of album tracks (Times Like These, In the Rain) are genuinely great.

I think her lack of vocal ability is just a bit exhausting across 20-30 minutes of music. I feel like she's very charismatic and probably a great curator, but I'm not sure I see her career as a popstar going the distance. the voice just isn't there.

Album charts at #2 :disco:

New York and Fame is a Gun are on repeat for me.

in the rain, fame is a gun and times like these are my delicious trio right now. obviously headphones on and aquamarine still SLAP. but I'm loving this moody, SULTRY TRINITY!

I have my tickets for the 2020s equivalent of the Blond Ambition tour

Yes I am going to have to fly to a different city because the demand was too high for Melbourne but that’s what you have to do when you stan a legend

Saw her supporting Lana at Wembley last night. Despite loving the album, I found her incredibly annoying. I'd read she broke through from tik tok and she definitely felt much more social media person than pop star so it figures.

Don't know anything about this girl, but she's a star in front of the camera.

allegedly she's performing Fame is a Gun at the Grammys. :disco: can she lip sync to Rebecca Black's vocal please?
