Revisiting this after that delightfully camp video of her firing T-shirts into the crowd, I was reminded it's been nearly a DECADE. What did you think of this glorious 90s power ballad throwback?

 
Oh come on. EOM was definitely a little more featherweight but it was still a solid single.
 
I prefer this to "Easy on Me" but I haven't *loved* any of her ballad sangles since "Someone Like You"
 
Her last great song. The rest of 25 was trash and 30 was utterly forgettable. Everything was downhill after this.

You notoriously hate her guts though so not surprised you are talking TRASH about her last few campaigns.
 
Although I don’t actually strongly disagree as it was all a bit half arsed but they still definitely had SOME highs.
 
not the best song on the album and not one I every really play, but an iconic single.

I'm totally more of a Send My Love (To Your New Lover) girlie :disco:
 
Makes me want to make one of those Greatest Love Songs of the 90s compilations. It's aged gorgeously. I don't think I appreciated those backing vocals at the time.
 
I do agree that her songs have become increasingly less Straight Out Of Rada With Angst And Chasing A Mercury Music Prize and increasingly more Saturday Night Ballids Hour On Heart FM With David Walliams over the years, but she does still have enough raw emotion in her delivery to sound interesting at times.

If she does ever release another album it would be good to drop the numbers and give us a different sound. Maybe a concept album or something

I don't hate her, but god the adulation needs a bit of a PUSHBACK. She's one of the industry's most incorrigible flakes at the actual superstar level!
 
Hun LOVES cancelling tours or dates without rescheduling or postponing at the very last minute over things that could have been foreseen quite some time before then!

it has definitely calmed down but I think she's more or less escaped any backlash, which almost anyone else who was as MASSIVE (commercially) and universally ADORED as her would surely have had to deal with at some point. the world being less obsessed with her now is probably ideal given that she just wants to fuck off and be a rich hot mom.
