Afterlife.

Do you have any beliefs or thoughts about what might happen after death? Are you completely of the opinion that you die and that's it? Or do you have religious, spiritual or other thoughts on something else happening? Do you find the idea frighteneing? Do you ever will yourself into thinking there might be more to death?

Sometimes I get a bit weirded out by it all when I pause and think about the state of being dead because it feels so abstract and also feels like it renders everything I'm doing now pointless.

In response to that I turn to the way @jivafox phrased it (not sure if serious or a song lyric/housewives quote, but still), and try to think of it as the kind of blissful, uninterrupted sleep you get sometimes where you don't think or imagine anything (at least that you remember).

Then I also like the idea of your body becoming part of nature and joining with the sea and the earth and living on (unless you're in a coffin, in which case I'm not sure how it works).

I don't really fear dying, not at present anyway. I mostly fear the idea of dying before my parents and upsetting them.

I’ve never believed in it. Same with God; I’ve just never believed in anything like that, even as a little kid. I kind of wish I did believe in it though since heaven sounds kind of nice in theory

I don't believe in any God or an afterlife as a place where the dead go. I believe that our "energy" (some people might call it the soul or spirit) is released back to the cosmos when we die.
