But all of them are great. The album is shaping up NICELY.

I can't decide if BCE was my favourite song of last year. I think PROBABLY SO.

Well this is a tremendous success. LOVESONGS is massive (the vocal range is on full display) and TRIGGER bangs :disco:

The pre-release songs are elevated as part of the whole and Balenciaga Covered Eyes sounds like a classic from another era already.
 
She’s never sounded better than on Love Songs, and the whole album is brilliant from start to finish.

Of the new ones Love Songs is fantastic and Trigger is a banger. I was pleasantly surprised that the one titled Uterus & Universe is in fact a real song and not yet another interlude, but I can take or leave it.

Speaking of which, the numerous interludes can get fucked to be quite honest, I don't know what album she thinks she's making. The only one that isn't actively irritating is Pre which should just be part of Love Songs anyway!

I'm sure as an interludeless 8 song package it holds together pretty well. I'll rattle through it again later.
 
all the new songs are good to great, MILK remains the weakest here - followed by SIGN IT which is giving interlude turned into a song but at least feels sexy and sultry.

TRIGGER - Loaded sequel. total banger.
SIGN IT - unsure what I'm signing but please do take my money mother.
LOVESONGS - like an unearthed 80s classic played at 0.75x speed and ripped off cassette. an anthem.
UNIVERSE & UTERUS - gorgeous, love that she signs each album off on a different sound. this is a much better song than Magic Still Exists.

interludes - drag and drop > recycle bin > delete forever.
 
I remember being annoyed at the interludes on magic still exists but ended up loving the whole album so much.. the interludes seemed to give the songs space to breathe, and listening to it always felt like listening to a soundtrack album. It made me listen to the whole thing instead of skipping, which is maybe one reason why I became so obsessed with it. I’ll see if the same happens with Beautiful Madness, but right now I can’t stop listening to it on repeat
 
The interludes aren't really bothering me this time around.

I really like BEAUTIFUL MADNESS. It is more than an interlude, not exactly a song but still a hot track.
 
agreed. that first intro and Beautiful Madness together as one make quite a good album intro actually.

Yes, when BCE came on I was a tad confused for a split second thinking Amazon were auto playing the previous album.
 
The thing about interludes- she’s been doing them for a while, even before Magic Still Exists.

She’s the new Janet :disco:
 
(But let’s hope she doesn’t start talking about her minge)
