Alison Moyet - Key

She’s now sold out in Belfast too. Quite impressive really.
Did you manage to get tickets?

I sometimes wonder why more artists don't do what Self Esteem did last year - multiple nights in one place. For those acts who do really well on the theatre circuit but aren't really big enough for arenas, it seems like an obvious answer to me. Although I suppose it probably makes scheduling dates a lot more complicated.

I had work meetings this morning so I left my friend in charge of getting them and she did so although not the best ones.

They closed the artist presale yesterday afternoon. It surprised me, and I'm fairly sure now it was to ensure there were some tickets at some venues left for general sale this morning, as she was booked for the Scott Mills show and they have been featuring that on her socials for a week now.

Her most recent 5 albums (Hometime, Voice, The Turn, the minutes and Other) all being reissued on coloured vinyl and deluxe CD in September. I've not checked the full tracklisting of all, but I don't think there's anything previously unreleased from previous issues, and the two most recent albums seem to be bundled with the live CDs that were previously released separately.

But more excitingly if you're a :david: fan, is the return of a rebranded 40 Moyet Moments podcast next week, now retitled 'The Alison Moyet podcast', where she will spend two full episodes on each of the 5 albums, alongside album collaborators.

Colour me VERY EXCITED.

I really enjoyed that podcast. I saw her live for the Others tour - which she blogged about also, and it was terrific - her voice is insane live.
