You realise it's a completely different mix and not just the intro? The TIC mix is based on Shep Pettibone's remix that was on You Can Dance. The version on Celebration is the original one that was out in 1985. And though I like both, is definitely the better for me.
 
I much prefer the original as well. And the Celebration remaster sounds lovely and clear compared to the original which sounds really muddy by comparison.

It was her first ever UK number one. It's good to see her come full circle, and hopefully it can get there again.
 
Isla Bonita AND Hung Up both now doing more daily than Popular on the regular, time for Popular to usurped from the top of her spotify! The Former by more than 100K daily.
 
Her Spotify numbers are increasing nicely. all the songs on COADF see massive gains (Hung Up less so, it was already doing great), when was the last time the album charted? 2006?

 
I mean it’s not awful, given it is a teaser track and had no playlisting etc.

It seems to have generated solid buzz about the project, which seems to do it’s job.

I have listened to this quite a few times since the release. I still wish more happened, but overall I like it!
 
That bit is quite disquieting. Maybe I'm just morbid, but my mind goes back to the Florida shooting in the gay club (and her God Control video I suppose).
 
Hitting the UK Top 100 with a new single is quite the feat for anyone over 40 these days. And she's a day behind. It could still climb. Not by much, but it could still climb.
 
On the flip side - she's perhaps been buoyed by a first day rush of downloads which will taper away
 
Just noticed she's in The Top 100 Artists on Spotify at #83.

@Suedehead used to update us on stuff like this, dammit. I can't remember but I'm pretty sure #83 and 46m+ monthly listeners is a peak for her.

Fairly sure that when her and Abba were fighting it out on very similar numbers a few months ago, she was at about 40m while they climbed to 43m (buoyed by a few hits being huge at new year), they are just under 40m now, which is kind of where they usually are.

Not sure how relevant the comparison to them is specifically, other than as a marker of her streams climbing against an act that is usually in the same ballpark.
 
And in terms of daily streams, she was at a fraction over 7m yesterday, 11.113bn total.
 
Slight moan @Moderator - I agree with lolly about the last 4 posts being moved, but the previous ones about the song's midweek performances should have stayed where they were. They relate specifically to the song.
