Medellin having more UK streams than Don't Tell Me. the girls are sick. by which I mean the huns, the gays, the queens and the theys.
 
4 Minutes being so high is a HATE CRIME

90s Madonna being ignored is sad but predictable. I assume Frozen's mediocre position is actually being propped by the Sidekick remix, so lord knows how underwhelming it really is.
 
Streaming will always have inflated numbers for recent stuff. Hence Medellin etc. But yes the general ambivalence towards a lot of her 90s /early 00s stuff, even some of the bigger hits, remains head scratching.
 
Beautiful Stranger remains the biggest oddity to me. It was MASSIVE here. I appreciate not featuring on a studio album may be a factor, but that hasn't stopped Vogue.

Vogue is a different beast anyway, but even if it wasn't, it's always going to get plays from The Immaculate Collection and its likely to be high up her "Hits" playlist.

The streaming figures are always skewed by playlist action. I bet 4 Minutes features on Timberlake playlists.
 
Perhaps inevitably, Danceteria and Bring Your Love have dropped out of the Spotify charts on Day 2.

That’s pretty great whichever way one slices it to be honest. Not even as a Madonna record. But compared to any artist with a 40+ year recording career when you take the whole “you’re only as good as your last record” argument.
 
So what do we know about her Billboard chances? I read that she has a forecast of 80k. I don’t know if she has any other new release completion but the current #1 is Olivia Rodrigo.

I don’t get why it’s, in the streaming era, a footnote when it was huge at the time and hardly a song just of a period of time. It should be getting a couple of hundred thousand streams a day but it barely registers in her top fifty which I find so odd.
 
Beautiful Stranger's success at the time was, I suppose, a combination of factors. She was coming off the back of Ray of Light, so had huge momentum. Austin Powers 2 was huge with teens. And it was just so radio-friendly.

But it wasn't "iconic" in the way that many of her big hits were.

I would love it to be bigger.
 
They’re saying Spiro is not far behind. That’s not good is it, considering physicals would favour Madonna and streams would favour Spiro?

What’s not great is the digital number if she has someone tailing her

Even though she'll stream better, I don't see her closing that gap with Madge

yes the #1 is firmly in the bag. I'm confused though - presumably the total is 37k, not 30k as written there, if it's shipped 30,113 physicals?
 
Yeah it’s 37k, she easily has it.

She’s only 22 streaming sales behind Sienna. That’ll change but still remarkable really!
