And Just Like That... (Sex & The City revival)

God I hated that episode, after thinking the previous one was the best for ages

I thought that episode was pretty good (relatively). Apart from Che working in a pet cemetery and Carrie still giving a fuck about them (although I guess she was just in it for herself AS USUAL) it didn’t seem like a load of random threads.

The scene with Seema and Carrie was quite lovely (and what a gorgeous umbrella Seema had)

I’m loving how an umbrella was one of the main highlights worth commenting on :disco:

It held together well enough

It was just what it was holding was HATEFUL

Season 1 fell into a similar pattern where it finally got into the swing of things mid-late season then rapidly went OFF THE BOIL.

My only criticisms were Charlotte’s WEIRD WEIGHT storyline and what an insufferable pair Charlotte and Aiden were.

Seema’s storyline could’ve been FLESHED out better, insomuch as I got her reasoning for icing Carrie out but she didn’t explain it terribly CONCINCINGLY!

So just about two thirds of the episode was unbearable this week :D

What does Aidan do that makes him so rich that they can afford spending days in an expensive hotel and buying expensive kitchenware that was only going to be used once?

I thought she was using the dirty money she got from Big after she forced him into a Peloton hell hole that ultimately killed him.

I love how they clearly have no idea what to do with the Nya character so they just had her getting FUCKED for 20 minutes this episode.

Apart from Carrie casually buying yet ANOTHER apartment I liked this episode! Felt like a SATC episode, and just felt in general more natural and less forced.

Listen I don’t come into this thread for your serious, positive takes!
