Apparently this one is actually good…I’ll give it a shot but the bar is so low that if it just has a coherent story it will be better than most of the Marvel/SW stuff that’s been on D+ so far.

I think this looks fantastic, and Rogue One is possibly my favourite Star Wars film of them all at this point so I'm definitely up for revisiting that era. I hope they do focus entirely on the rebellion/Empire conflict and don't throw in any Jedi stuff, just that small thing would do a lot to make this more grounded (which I think is what they're going for).

Also I have to say it... based on the trailer, Mon Mothma QoL forever

The showrunner for this is Tony Gilroy who (as well as co-writing Rogue One) wrote the Bourne movies, which hopefully bodes well when it comes to the spy thriller tone they seem to be going for. He's also on record as not being a particular FAN of Star Wars, which I think is probably a good thing at this point.

Me too, although the bar is set low for me. Even though I think I’ve seen all the major films now, for the spectacle of nothing else, I’m still not really a fan. But this one was good. I’ll have to watch it again mind if I’m going to make any sense of this new one

I'm really enjoying this. Five episodes in, and it keeps unfolding in most interesting ways. It helps that it's telling a small story and that there's no attempt to shoehorn in Chewbacca's kindergarten mate or whatever. It feels like Star Wars but in a huge universe, not a small box room populated by 10 characters.

Really enjoying this now. I didn’t care at the start but I love the empire stuff and even the prison escape got me aroused.

I stan evil efficient bureaucrat Dedra Meero (what a name ) she’s an icon. Also Mon Mothma and the sexy older men she surrounds herself with.

I recently caught up on the first season of this after it being recommended as excellent even for a non-Star Wars person like me. After some initial misgivings I really liked it and enjoyed the flurry of UK television actors.

I thought the first two episodes of the second season were a bit slow but
I loved episode three, not least Mon Mothma frantically dancing through her cares to this absolute banger:

I did a re-watch of the first 6 films after this and sorry but it’s all a BIT SHIT in comparison.
