I watched ep one of Ann Droid and it wasn't for me.

Then iPlayer reminded me to give Small Prophets a go, which I did like. Not quite a five star rave for me but I rattled through it all and look forward to s2. A charming little show

I've actually watched Ann Droid twice now, and I really would give it a shot. It's a little flawed, but it's quite a warm show, with some big laugh out loud moments and a great supporting cast.

I adore Diane Morgan and love Sue Johnston, but it barely raised a chuckle with me. Way too much pathos and too few laughs. I'll persevere though.

Episode 1 took some time to properly get started, but Episode 2 has really picked up the pace with the comedy.

It is quite heavy on the pathos - that doesn't really change throughout the run, and the tone wasn't entirely what I expected. . But like Ellie says, the comedy does ramp up from the second episode.

I was not dazzled by episode 1 but kept going and then the second episode was very funny and it remained strong from there. It's less strong when the focus drifts on to the son and daughter-in-law I find.

I really liked this show, not brilliant all the way through but plenty of great moments. I'll give anything with Sue Johnston a go, NATIONAL TREASURE if you ask me!

I'm hoping a second series will keep focussed on Linda, Sue Sue Sue and her friends. The obnoxious wife I quite enjoyed too. But yes less long scenes focussed on alternative characters. They should be side stories, not a main focus.

We'll see if pairs up with a sex robot as was alluded to.
