She definitely seems to be trying to open her sound up beyond the sweet scandi synthpop of the last album. I don't think it is a coincidence that Playing Games is the closest to Lovers in sound and also the best of the new material so far. Dream Girl is cute though.

The debut was so good and more sweet scans synth pop would have been perfect for me. I'll give this new one a try nonetheless, I do like her voice.

Summer Fade is now second only to Lovers for me within the Anna of the North oeuvre. What a major moment of boppery, it's kind of defined this end-of-summer for me (if a summer which never really came can end).
