£23.45 for a double vinyl of the Queen's greatest hits is actually a pretty good deal. I think I might pre-order.

Surely at most?

When you think of the level of sales a #1 gets anyway, then consider this is only vinyl, and then only that sold on amazon - and the fact that it's absolutely rolling chart, so what period does it cover?
 
I used to like Annie Lennox until she started wearing her HIV Positive t-shirt. My reaction to that was 'What's your poiint you dumb bitch?'

If she'd been asked why she wore that t-shirt she'd probably have replied 'My point is that as a renegade woman on the cusp of the autumn of my femininity, I relate to the isolation caused by my fading fecundity. Menopausal woman, life force draining! HIV positive African orphan. We are sisters under the skin. I hope you uncerstand me!'
 
Was it not one of those well-intentioned but utterly ill-conceived things i.e. I am 'positive' about people with HIV rather that writing them off or avoiding them? I seem to remember something like that knocking around and thinking "nah, not like that, back to drawing board".
 
Her HIV campaign was always about raising awareness in Africa to not only help with grass roots education for the continent but to drum up funds from first world countries to support the mess that was drug distribution. I don’t think any of that can be ill-conceived.

I don’t think she was ever trying to be a gay ally - she was always more focused on inequality in third world and developing countries.
 
Anyone thinking she was just trying to be a gay ally surely wasn't paying attention to her earlier career. She long had been already.

I only meant the slogan/merch, not the intent/overarching campaign.
 
Was it Live 8 that had that video of her MINCING about Africa with a subtitle that said "Everyone in this video clip has HIV" that was then somehow REDONE for later viewings/ the video release with "Everyone in this video clip has HIV except Annie Lennox"? :D

And the bit about 'EXCEPT ANNIE ANNIOX' came up after the first sentence
