Anti-Tour announced (3 Viewers)

I QUITE LIKED Money Can't Buy for what it was, a one-off concert to plug an album release. But then I love the album so it was nice to see "Secret", "Still Standing", "After Dark" knowing she'd probably never do them again (well aside from potentially popping up on an ANTI-TOUR)

I liked Sweet Music at the time, but it sounded shit in a club. Still Standing would probably be my Body Language song of choice.
 
Sweet Music's shit. Still Standing is excellent in the contest of that dull album, but I really never need to hear anything from that era ever again thankyouverymuch.
 
Well in UTTER DISASTER news, I have three unwanted standing tickets for London.

I had the opportunity to buy four so did so, thinking it might be difficult for some, and that I could sell them for face value to fans who'd otherwise have to resort to touts, but no it seems everyone got the tickets they needed and eBay is FLOODED. :D

So who wants to go to Kylie on Tuesday? I'm open to OFFERS.

I might have been tempted but I'm going to see Joseph at the MK theatre... I'm just it'll be JUST AS GOOD :lies:

I do have one major gripe with these shows and that is the crowd.

The participation in "Tightrope" is amazing but they just don't shut up during "Disco Down". :evil: It's like a group karaoke session! That's what you get when you get together a room full of loons I guess.

I hope it isn't so bad in London.
 
OH MY DAYS.

That was one of the MOST AMAZING nights of MY LIFE. SO MANY HIGHLIGHTS.

Disco Down really transported me BACK to that 13 year old HOMO trying to FIGURE LIFE OUT. And I mean, I was NEVER really that MASSIVE a fan of the song in the first place.

Tightrope was a moment and a FUCKING HALF, for me.

Cherry Bomb/Magnetic Electric - WOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!

Even the oldies but goodies were a DELIGHT.

Obv one of our biggest gripes with Kylie is that her personality has been WELL DRY, but she was BRILLIANTLY funny and personable throughout, telling of us how she once did a gig at ESSENTIAL. :D

AND she sang bits of I Know, What Kind of Fool, Its No Secret, Finer Feelings and some other bits that I didn't KNOW. 'I Know' came as SUCH a shock to moi.

My only gripe was that she kept TEASING about songs that she wrote POST-CANCER or working with JAKE SHEARS and I was just WILLING her to sing 'White Diamond'.

All in all, I've totally re-looned up. I feel like I had a ONE TO ONE avec MY NAME IS KYLIE and I'm feeling DELIRIOUS.
 
Amazing :disco: Did you spot anyone waving their HIGH QUALITY VIDEOPHONES around during Tightrope? I need to hear a clear live version RIGHT NOW.
 
It wasn't just a bit of It's No Secret, it was the whole thing acapella with the lyrics she had just printed out from the net.

In addition to the setlist she did in Australia, she also added Do It Again, which formed part of the encore.

Highlights for me were Tightrope, Drunk, Say Hey, Disco Down, Too Much and Things Can Only Get Better, but I loved loved loved the entire concert. I queued from 2pm to get in and was right at the front of the stage. The concert immediately goes down one of the highlights of my life.

I remember being in full drag slap at Cher and hissing "shut the fuck up" at these drunk bitches yelling "MON CHER" over and over again. I'm still embarrassed, but not enough not to share obviously. I'd want to sing to Tightrope too though.

I wish I had pictures: full make-up, NORMAL clothes, I've got a friend who still laughs himself silly when this comes up. I really don't know what I was thinking in those days. However, no one believes me, but Cher looked at me and did the most 'fabulous' thing, sort of smirking and tilting her head back at me.

I agree with all of this, I didn't even bother going to the Aphrodite Tour as after X where she had little engagement with the audience I'd lost interest, especially as X came after Showgirl Homecoming where she seemed to really address the crowd.

The other song she threw in as well as It's No Secret was Tell Tale Signs as a full track. Before perfroming these she told us how she'd printed the lyrics off Google and was living dangerously as they were probably wrong.

What Kind Of Fool got an airing after the crowd started singing it and she joined in.

As you say Bev, I really thought she was going to do White Diamond when she mentioned Jake Sheers but I Know was equally welcome. Even if she did struggle to recall the lyrics initially.

Oh and That's Why They Write Love Songs was taken out and replaced with Do It Again.

Definitely the best show I've been to and the atmosphere was excellent. I was amused though by the two gays in front who kept looking at each other perplexed and shrugging their shoulders at each song.

I'm really delighted everyone's had a great time at this. I'm praying for a DVD.

UNLIKELY considering the tickets haven't even sold but STILL.

I don't know where abouts Bev was but it seemed the biggest reaction of the night by people around me was for Too Much, the crowd seemed to come alive at that point. I did find that surprising as I never really viewed it as a fan favourite
 
I always loved me a bit of Too Much. I thought it was about the most chart worthy thing on the whole album.
 
Dirt cheap tickets being sold on ebay right now for anyone who can make it last minute.

I'm surprised it isn't selling that well. Yes she's singing obscure songs but I thought her fanbase would've been hardcore enough. You we're still able to get tickets on the official sellers for all days on Sunday.

Maybe it is those shrieking hen parties which keep her in Restalyn.
 
Just got back. Great show. Kylie was on top form. Properly looned up now....well certainly more than before

However, sound levels were shockingly bad. I don't remember the Apollo being that awful. Also she made us wait an age (and forced us to endure her assistant's husband's rubbish DJ skills) - it didn't help that I went straight from work without changing.

Anyway still a fantastic show. Pete Waterman, Biffco and Karen Poole all got shout outs (cos they were in the audience) although I really wish Poole wasn't there because we had to sit through the distinctly average "Do It Again" as a result. My absolute personal highlight though was "One Boy Girl" - complete with RAP!. :disco:

Is this definitely IT for the anti-tour in the UK, though? I'd love her to suddenly announce dates in a few more cities (ie ones that I could actually get to at short notice :grr:)
 
Genuinely sensational and a truly amazing evening. I'm so glad I went - there were dozens of moments to die for but, yes, the One Boy Girl rap really did make my night.

:disco: inferno and then some!
