I remember coming up with a whole video concept for 'Hallelujah' at the time where the Appleton sisters get built up and then torn to shreds by the media, ending with them onstage getting rocks thrown at them.

It would have been 'Paparazzi' before 'Paparazzi'. But with less wanky outfits.
 
Average.

More consistent than any AS album, but with none of the amazing highs.
 
Let's have another listen to this MASTERPIECE

Natalie Appleton has an amazing POP VOCAL and this album is a GEM

This is one of those albums that I'm always HARPING on about to people and they just refuse to believe me that the Appleton sisters made a really good album.
 
I need another copy of this album, I had TWO buit lost one and gave one to my friend who didn't believe it could be a good album

As for this album, I've not heard it but my gut instinct is to side with Halli's mate. Is it ACTUALLY good, or are the Moopy masters of irony at work yet again?
 
I might give this a proper listen now. I was really unhappy with them at the time and fully in camp Shaz/Mel. I did buy Fantasy but felt the album would be too disloyal. (!)
 
Poundland is generally awful but you can find some great CD bargains in there if you don't mind having your ankles destroyed by 4x4 pushchairs every 2 seconds whilst you browse.

The nearest one to me is Brixton or Walworth Road (maybe they're one and the same?) and I shan't be venturing to EITHER.

I'm listening to this album at the moment, I'm in a right Appleton FRENZY at the moment, with reading their autibiography (which isn't as bad as I expected but TERRIBLY one sided) - I CANNOT tell Natalie and Nicole's voices apart though. Does Nicole sing much?
 
Nicole sings less. She has a pretty voice but it's lighter and less strong than Natalie. Natalie sings all of 5am I think.

Nicole does do the spoken intro yes. According to their book, they pretty much did do backing vocals. Lots of stories about them singing lead only for the producers to change it to Shaznay or Mel!

I can see why they were a bit bitter, they were hardly on Lisa Scott-Lee or Tina Barrett levels of NOX.

I think one of the only songs Nat sings lead on is "Always Something There To Remind Me" - and she said she only got to sing that because Shaznay and Mel refused to because they didn't like Burt Bacharach! :D

I think Nat sings this really well!

I loved Natalie's voice, and even Nicole's was fine. Even if they weren't to always get leads, they should've utilised them much more because they were a nice offset to the Shaznay and Mel vocals. Hence why vocally I love Under The Bridge, because the three verses are so distinct yet all compliment each other.
 
This SEMINAL album is getting a long-awaited Vinyl reissue, oddly before any of the All Saints records have received one. :D

 
Is this to tie in with the Masked Singer, then? As long as the sadistically dull Don’t Worry doesn’t get any airplay off the back of this, that’s all I care about.
